God's Face

I just read this awesome quote. "Too many times we focus on God's hands rather than focusing on His Face." We, including myself, as Christians get caught up in our prayers by constantly asking God what He can do for us. How many times do we ask what we can do for Him? Imagine how one person could change the world around him/her just by changing the attitude of his/her prayers. I'm not saying not petition God for the things we need, I'm just saying that our hearts should be focused upward. My God is a God that loves His children. So much so, that He sent His perfect, sinless Son to die a cruel and torturous death. The very least we can do is show Him our love. Tell Him how much we adore Him and desire to please Him above all else. Just picture Him wrapping His arms around you and smiling down at you, because you took a moment to look upon His face. Christians wonder sometimes why they can't grow closer to God...God's right where He always was, we just cant find Him because we are looking down instead of up.
